Every man’s got a look. Whether that be the posh look of suede loafers and lavender socks, the rougher look of a dress shirt buttoned to the top with no tie, or the urban look of high-tops and hoodies. Whatever your look, there are spring pieces and accompanying accessories that will have you feeling like yourself.
For the guy who shops on Sloane Street, you’re probably after some colourful linen, or light fabric blazers this season. Am I right? And coupled with the blazers you might be after some colourful socks, some breathable loafers, likely made of coloured leather or suede and a cool pair of designer sunglasses. Jewellery will be kept to a minimum. Perhaps a pinky ring, a gorgeous pair of cufflinks and an expensive watch.
The urban cool guy:
This is the guy who keeps up with all the trends without being an overdone hipster. He’s got all the key pieces but tends not to wear them all at once and make a statement of himself. He’s the guy in an old pair of jeans, the hottest new kicks, a hat, and a graphic tee or printed hoodie. This season he’ll be looking for a new hat, some new t-shirts and a couple of lightweight scarves. He’s fresh and sharp in his own way. He’ll probably be sporting a stud in at least one ear.
Hipsters tend to take fashion to a whole new level. They combine trends with a need or desire to wear everything artistically. They opt for quirky sunglasses, dated t-shirts, bold colours and styles that you have a hard time deciding whether or not they’re cool. Ie. the return of acid washed jeans. This summer he’ll be after bright coloured jeans, low-top shoes and the newest briefcase. There’s little a hipster won’t include in their outfit, which means jewellery can range from bold silver rings, long chains, nose rings and more.
The tough guy:
The tough guy is exactly that. The one who maybe tries to be a bit intimidating. Who likes hard music and a thug look. He might sport baggy jeans and a lot of sports labels like Adidas, Nike, and DC. Or he might be the guy who buttons up his shirt all the way but then leaves out the tie. This season he’ll be shopping for new kicks and a few new jerseys. This guy tends to have a stud in each year and a chain around his neck.
